By local definition, when you leave your tourist resort on a visit to a place of special interest, that is an excursion. Resorts often offer a good choice of reasonably-priced set excursions. Some of these might include a visit to a fishing village and a visit to Male'.

Another way of fitting in a lot into one Package is island hopping. This involves going on a circuit of islands  nearby, perhaps  entailing a  visit  to  a  fishing   village,  an

uninhabited  island, and various stops for diving, snorkeling and a barbecue.

And then there is the photo flight. Though slightly expensive, these come highly recommended. The sights are beyond description.
